Temperature-dependence of the fermentation process

LB1.3.3.2
Temperature-dependence of the fermentation process
Temperature-dependence of the fermentation process

Description

In this experiment, the students explore the temperature dependency of the fermentation process in yeasts. The students compare fermentation processes at different temperatures and recognise that yeast enzymes show no activity at low temperatures and very strong activity at around 35 °C. In this context, they learn about the term temperature optimum.
