Starch digestion with pancreatin
Starch digestion with pancreatin

Description

In this experiment, the students look at the digestion of carbohydrates by pancreatin. To do this, they use a starch solution coloured with iodine potassium iodide and learn that the amylase contained in pancreatin is adapted to the slightly basic pH value in the intestine and is pH-dependent as a result.
