Description

Three crucial processes in the biosphere make life on Earth as we know it possible.

Material cycle: Recycling is very important in nature! With fascinating images and clear graphics, the video describes the natural material cycle in which plants, animals and decomposers are involved.
Energy flow: Unlike matter, energy cannot be recycled. The video shows how solar energy is absorbed by plants and - with great losses - passes through food to animals and decomposers.
Food chains: Eat and be eaten - this is a basic motto of nature. The video describes the structure of food chains and food webs. It also explains the accumulation of toxins in the food chain using the pollutant PCB.
