Cabinet for storage of radioactive materials

For safe storage of radioactive preparations in a storage room in accordance with the relevant German legislation on radiation safety and DIN 25422 (DB1).
The cabinet should be firmly screwed to the wall using the holes provided in order to protect it from theft.

Radiation protection regulations regarding monitored and controlled areas must be observed.
As an example, 1400-kBq Co 60 emits radiation which would precisely reach the legal limit of 1mSv per annum if someone were permanent at a distance of 1 m from the cabinet for the duration of every working day.

In order to achieve a general reduction in dosage, it is therefore sensible to mount the cabinet on a special storage room or similar.
