Description

The students will learn that fatty components of foods such as peanuts, margarine and cooking oil can be dissolved with petroleum ether with high boiling point. Because petrol, being a non-polar solvent, has a high lipophilic content, the phenomenon is based on the principle “like dissolves in like”.
