Description

The COM4LAB course AC Technology II is the second course on the fundamentals of AC technology. It addresses the behaviour of passive components in various circuits. Various combinations of coil, capacitor and resistance are analysed and calculated. The students are instructed on how to use the function generator, oscilloscope and multimeters. The course comprises 20 chapters.

The course covers the following topics:

  • generation of AC voltage
  • characteristic variables in AC technology
  • Ohmic resistance in an AC circuit
  • coil in an AC circuit

    inductive resistance – series connection of resistor and coil – parallel connection of resistor and coil

  • capacitor in an AC circuit

    capacitive resistance – series connection of resistor and capacitor – parallel connection of resistor and capacitor

  • series connection of resistor, coil and capacitor
  • parallel connection of resistor, coil and capacitor
  • series compensation
  • parallel compensation
  • series resonance
  • parallel resonance

The course …

  • can be displayed and filled out on your own tablet/smartphone/laptop.
  • is platform-independent - a current browser is sufficient.
  • can be distributed to students via QR codes.
  • enables interactive experimenting: The measured values from the Master Unit are automatically made available for evaluation in tables and diagrams. The analysis and documentation of the experiment on the student device can be done at school or at home.
  • can be edited and thus adapted to your own lesson plan.

Technical data

Course licence

  • The course licence is perpetual.
  • One course licence is required for each connected device (PC, tablet or smartphone).
  • Up to four simultaneous connections and thus four course licences are possible per workstation (COM4LAB Master Unit with corresponding COM4LAB Board).
  • The product key is required to activate the course licence via https://register.leylab.de. The COM4LAB course is then accessible in LeyLab and can be used.

Scenario 2: The course is downloaded to the teacher PC and shared from there
