The chemical reaction as a conversion of substances

LC1.8.1.2
The chemical reaction as a conversion of substances
The chemical reaction as a conversion of substances

Description

In this experiment copper and iron react with sulphur to form the respective sulphide. The students will realise that a chemical reaction is a material transformation in which the properties of the reactants differ from those of the products. In addition, the students learn that the properties of the products do not necessarily have to be related to those of the reactants.
