Description

Set for the investigation of the eddy current braking of free falling magnets in a tube.
It is included each one tube of copper, aluminium and plexiglass with the same dimensions, as well as 10 spherical magnets (510 25).

Measurement of the fall time:
e.g. with
2 Coils (590 84)
or
Force sensor (524 042) with Sensor-CASSY (524 013).

Technical data

Tube diameters: external 12 mm, internal 10 mm, length 50 cm
Magnet diameter: 8 mm
Fall time of the magnets in the copper tube: approx. 5.0 s, aluminium tube: approx. 3.7 s, Plexiglass tube: approx. 0.3 s
