Description

In this experiment, the students learn about the extraction of vegetable fats through extraction with a solvent. They discover that both the polarity and the boiling point of oil make such extraction possible. To do this, oil seeds or oil fruits are heated with petrol as a solvent and the oil thus extracted is detected by means of a fat stain test.
