The LD 1 gas chromatograph is inexpensive and operates reliably at ambient temperature (basic equipment without accessories) - the ideal introduction into separations by gas chromatography by simple means for the purpose of education (usable for student experiments).
With respect to the carrier gas, the sensors and materials used in the column, the system can be used a modular way, offering the following benefits:
- Two sensors can be used: heat conductivity detector (HCD) and hydrocarbon sensor (gas sensor)
- Three different column types of different polarity and an empty column for filling yourself are available
- The system can be operated with hydrogen and with air, for example.
- Can be used on a simple stand set-up or with a CPS set-up for demonstration.
A detector (TCD
665 581 or hydrocarbon
665 582) and a separation column are necessary for operation.
