Description

In the experiment P2.6.3.3, a Mollier diagram, in which the pressure p is graphed as a function of the specific enthalpy h of the coolant, is used to trace the energy transformations of the heat pump. The pressures p₁ and p₂ in the vaporizer and liquefier, as well as the temperatures T_a, T_b, T_e and T_f of the coolant are used to determine the corresponding enthalpy values h_a, h_b, h_e and h_f. This experiment also measures the heat quantities ΔQ₂ and ΔQ₁ released and absorbed per unit of time. This in turn is used to determine the amount of coolant Δm circulated per unit of time.
