Description

In the experiment P5.2.1.1, the angle of minimum deviation ϑ is determined for a flint glass and a crown glass prism at the same refracting angle ε. This enables determination of the refractive index of the respective prism material according to the formula

The measurement is conducted for several different wavelengths, so that the dispersion can also be quantitatively measured.
