The training systems for electromobility from LEYBOLD® are ideal for use in the training of automotive mechatronics technicians in all disciplines, but especially, of course, in the field of “system and high-voltage technology”. The training systems are also ideal for training technicians, master craftsmen and engineers.
The focus is on troubleshooting: the experiments presented are based on the content of the currently valid framework curricula and can be supplemented as required.
With the high-voltage system trainer, it is possible to simulate insulation faults in HV cables and components in a simple way. This makes it possible to train and improve systematic troubleshooting with original workshop measuring devices.
This equipment is used to carry out basic experiments on the following topics:
- HV battery and HV electrical system
- Intrinsic safety through the pilot line and potential equalization
- Inverter with HV measuring points
- Measurement and manipulation of various insulation resistances
- E-machine connection with measurement option at open cable ends
Hybrid and electric vehicles: training systems for automotive training
The training systems for electromobility from LEYBOLD® are ideal for use in the training of automotive mechatronics technicians in all disciplines, but especially, of course, in the field of “system and high-voltage technology”. The training systems are also ideal for training technicians, master craftsmen and engineers.
As electrical systems in vehicles were previously considered to be largely harmless, awareness of voltages that are dangerous to touch must be raised and new safety measures and procedures must be taught in a targeted manner.
This means that tradespeople, automotive mechatronics engineers and trainers are all facing new challenges in the field of electromobility. It is problematic to have to work on the voltage under real conditions and still ensure maximum safety for the trainees during lessons.
For this purpose, LEYBOLD® has developed a trainer that can be used to practise unlocking electric vehicles. The device is suitable both for demonstration by the trainer/teacher and for practical exercises by the trainee/student, e.g. in learning field 11. Technical service companies (e.g. ADAC), test centers (TÜV, Dekra), rescue services (fire department, THW) or recyclers can also benefit from this training concept in order to prepare specialists for this innovative segment of automotive technology.

As a supplement, a private charging station is offered, with which the charging process can be reproduced. Since an original charging controller is used, charging states A to F are possible. As no real battery cells are installed in the high-voltage trainer, the charging process can be started or stopped at any time without affecting the functionality of the trainer.
