This high-voltage workstation provides a learning environment for the three-stage high-voltage training according to the German DGUV.
The unit is equipped with three service disconnect systems so that different manufacturers can be simulated:
- Service disconnect plug with integrated fuse used to connect the two HV battery banks.
- Service disconnect plug for interrupting the main relay supply (terminal 30c)
- Specially marked fuse for interrupting the relay supply
The service disconnect plugs can be secured against reconnection with original manufacturer accessories.
The HV battery as well as the inverter are covered with lockable and removable top parts. Thus, the task "working under voltage" can only be carried out after release by the instructor.
An insulation monitor device (IMD) is installed inside the highvoltage battery. It has a threshold value to trigger the shutdown of the system automatically.
The switching states of the three contacts of the main relay are indicated optically. In addition, a dangerous body current and the presence of high voltage in the inverter are indicated optically.
The equipotential bonding resistance at major points meets both the ECE R100 requirement of 100 mΩ and the stricter car manufacturer specifications of 10 mΩ.
Various HV components and a human person can be displayed via overlay masks. This allows insulation faults (body short circuit), equipotential bonding faults and the principle of 1st and 2nd fault in the IT network to be displayed very clearly. The unit is equipped with correspondingly defined switchable faults.
To illustrate the "intrinsic safety", a pilot line across all HV components incl. the plug-in contacts is included in the unit.
