Description

The COM4LAB courses in transmission and reception technology explain the structure of classic and modern radio systems and the modulation of signals step by step. The properties of the signals are analysed in more detail in the time and frequency domains. For this purpose, there is a transmitter and a receiver system on the board in which all components can be analysed individually.

This course Digital Modulations QPSK and QAM covers PSK, QPSK and QAM modulation as well as QoS.

The course covers the following topics:

  • PSK modulation - The transmission of the data stream,
  • PSK modulation - The constellation diagram,
  • QPSK modulation - Orthogonality,
  • QPSK modulation - The recovery of the data stream,
  • QPSK modulation - Synchronisation,
  • QoS - Symbols, bits and signal-to-noise ratio,
  • QoS - The rotation of the state field,
  • QoS - The signal noise, the crest factor and the PAPR.

The course …

  • can be displayed and filled out on your own tablet/smartphone/laptop.
  • is platform-independent - a current browser is sufficient.
  • can be distributed to students via QR codes.
  • enables interactive experimenting: The measured values from the Master Unit are automatically made available for evaluation in tables and diagrams. The analysis and documentation of the experiment on the student device can be done at school or at home.
  • can be edited and thus adapted to your own lesson plan.

Technical data

Course licence

  • The course licence is an annual licence. It can be purchased again annually.
  • One course licence is required for each connected device (PC, tablet or smartphone).
  • Up to four simultaneous connections and thus four course licences are possible per workstation (COM4LAB Master Unit with corresponding COM4LAB Board).
  • The product key is required to activate the course licence via https://register.leylab.de. The COM4LAB course is then accessible in LeyLab and can be used for one year.

System requirements

  • permanent internet access
  • devices (PCs, tablets or smartphones) with a current browser
