Magic T

The magic T is used for power splitting, whereby mismatching is avoided using special transformation elements. A wave fed into the H-arm (1) excites waves of the same phase with the same amplitude in arms (2) and (3). A wave fed into the E-arm (4) leads to the formation of waves 180° out of phase in arms (1) and (2). Using the magic T it is possible to realize push-pull mixers, impedance bridges etc.
