Description

System

The Precision Module Servo Workshop provides a fast and direct path from control system design to hardware implementation. The resolution and accuracy of the system and the consistency of its performance make the Precision Module Servo Workshop the ideal choice for the in-depth study of digital linear servo control systems. In addition to the study of digital control, the Precision Module Servo Workshop provides a comprehensive introduction to servos, from basic studies of analogue servos to full real-time digital control. It is fully supported by laboratory tasks designed to provide learners with a comprehensive understanding of the control paths within the device.

Method

The equipment includes student experiments in the laboratory with non-hazardous low voltage. Experimental procedures are carried out using a manual in printed or electronic form.

A MATLAB™ licence is required for this experiment and is not included in the scope of delivery

The equipment may require additional software modules.

Target group

An internship aimed at further education programmes at technical colleges and technical universities.

  • Knowledge of classical control engineering.
