Contains six setups for programming a small controller on LOGO! 8 from Siemens.
Educational objectives
- Operating a small controller.
- Creating programs.
- Learning the essential logic and control functions of small controllers.
- Testing the programs.
- Configuring network connections.
The teaching packet consists of:
- LOGO8! 12/24 RCE
- EXPANSION MODULE LOGO! DM8 12/24R
- LOGO! Soft Comfort V8
- Base plate small controller.
Description of the base plate small controller
- 14 digital inputs and 10 transistor outputs are connected with the base plate via 4 mm safety connectors.
- Inputs can be wired with the notch and push function with the incorporated switches.
- There is also the option of firmly establishing the connectors for 24 V DC.
- Analogue signals can be processed over two analogue inputs and two analogue outputs. The controller has an ethernet interface that is constructed as RJ 45.
- The control voltage amounts to 24 V DC.
Method
- Student experiments are carried out following the tasks set in the experiment description.
Students completing vocational training in electrical engineering for a trade or industry are the target group addressed. The course conveys knowledge on an intermediate level.
Previous knowledge
- Basics of contactor switches
