Electrical dynamometer, 1.0

The electrical dynamometer is the basis system for the machine testing system to record the characteristic curves of electrical machines of the 1.0 kW class in all four operating quadrants.

This system allows tests according to DIN/ISO 60034-2-1 "Standard method for determining losses and efficiency from tests", which are necessary for efficiency classes IE1 to IE4.

This Electric Dynamometer is a pendulum AC servo machine (pendulum machine) used as a drive or braking system.

The interfaces of the system were developed for use with the Machine Test CASSY (773 2900), but are electrically and mechanically downward compatible with the control unit of the predecessor system (732 689USB). All machines from the LEYBOLD machine range 1.0 on aluminium bases are suitable as test objects.
