The increasing share of renewable energy sources in electricity generation, such as photovoltaics and wind turbines, in combination with conventional power plants, requires a completely new (intelligent or "smart") grid management.

Through these experiments, you will learn what the power profile of a solar farm or wind park will look like, and how the volatile nature of renewable energy sources will affect the grid.
