Description

In this experiment, the students examine the temperature curve in a body of water over 24 hours by using the Mobile-CASSY. They learn that a body of water absorbs heat energy much slower than air, but can retain it for longer. This means that water has a temperature-buffering effect, which can have an impact on the climate of surrounding ecosystems.
