Description

In this experiment, leaf pigments are separated by using thin-layer chromatography (DC). For this, the leaf pigments are extracted from grass and then separated from each other with the help of silica gel foil and consequently made visible. The students realise that there are several different leaf dyes in one plant. This chromatography method is much more accurate than paper chromatography.
