Abstract
A blackout in a hospital is a disaster scenario that requires a rapid and well-structured response.
Starting with the observation of the automated process, the students learn which actions are necessary and in which order to ensure a reliable emergency power supply. The different stages, starting the emergency power supply and restoring normal operation, are then carried out independently by the students.
The interface for controlling the scenario is our didactic CASSY SCADA for Smart Grid.
Individual steps, such as starting up the generator, will be optimised here to ensure an even faster emergency power supply.
In the free scenario, the students can apply what they have learned. And make mistakes.
Micro Grid Scenario tasks
- Blackout detection
- Preparing the emergency power supply
- Minimising the duration of the power outage
- Supply the hospital with energy under variable load demand
- Reconnecting the hospital to the power grid or Smart Grid (synchronisation)
