Description

Student experiments on contactor control technology with modules on a mounting panel.

Learning objectives

  • Basic elements of control with contactors
  • Basic control circuits with contactors
  • Basic circuits for controlling machines

The teaching system consists of handy, robust experiment modules, which are individually arranged on a mounting wall in a free and clear manner in accordance with the circuit diagram. The modules are coloured for a better overview.

A transparent rear panel makes it possible to view the commercially available equipment used if it is not installed on the front. The module snaps into the mounting panel with the aid of an elastic latch so that it cannot fall out when the connecting cables are plugged in.

The electrical components are wired directly to the corresponding safety sockets using 4 mm safety connection cables for low voltage.

The control voltage is 24 V DC.

Method

Student experiments according to the task in the experiment description.

  • Arrangement of the elements.
  • Carrying out the wiring.
  • Testing the function.

Target group

Vocational training in electrical engineering in trade and industry.

Previous knowledge

  • Basics of contactor control
  • Familiarisation with the dangers of electrical engineering

Supplements

Equipment from E2 Electrical drives.

Topics

  • Mode of operation of switches
