System
The experiments are carried out with the LOGO! 8 small controller from Siemens. The logic module is placed on a base plate and mounted in the profile frame. The LOGO! 8 programming and the essential functions of Small Controllers are to be learnt.
Learning objectives
- Operating a Small Controllers.
- Creating programmes.
- Learning logical and control functions.
- Testing programmes.
- Setting up network connections
Characteristics
The teaching system consists of:
- LOGO8! 12/24 RCE
- EXTENSION MODULE LOGO! DM8 12/24R
- LOGO! Soft Comfort
- Small Controllers base plate
Description of the Small Controllers base plate
- 14 digital inputs and 10 transistor outputs connected to the base plate via 4 mm safety sockets.
- Inputs can be wired with the built-in switches with latching and push-button function.
- Sockets can be set to 24 V.
- Analogue signal processing is possible via two analogue inputs and two analogue outputs.
- Control unit with Ethernet interface (RJ 45)
- Control voltage: 24 V DC
Method
Carrying out student experiments according to the tasks in the experiment description.
