System
The course teaches the essential functions of a Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
The basic package only contains assembly parts and accessories. The required PLC S7-1512C-1 PN or S7 1516-3 PN/DP is not included in this package.
Important:
This equipment is only recommended if you already own a PLC S7-1512C-1 PN or S7 1516-3 PN/DP or would like to purchase it in another way.
The required PLC S7-1512C-1 PN or S7 1516-3 PN/DP is not included in this configuration.
If you would like to purchase a complete system comprising a basic package and PLC, please take a look at the following equipment:
- E7.2.2.3: Trainer package S7-1512C-1 PN
- E7.2.2.4: Trainer Package S7-1512C-1 PN+PD
Learning objectives
- Creating programmes
- Learning logical and control functions
- Testing the programmes
- Setting up Profi-Net and Profi-Bus network connections
Teaching system
The teaching system consists of
Description of the PLC base plate:
- 24 digital inputs of which 16 with push-button latching switch and 16 digital outputs are directly accessible via safety sockets (4 mm).
- 32 digital inputs and 32 digital outputs are accessible via 27-pin connectors with assignment for MCS.
- 2 analogue input channels and 2 analogue output channels are accessible via safety sockets (4 mm).
- A maximum of 8 analogue input channels and 4 analogue output channels are accessible via two 30-pin plugs, depending on the PLC.
- Profi-Net is connected directly to the CPU.
- The PLC base plate does not have a power supply unit; an external power supply unit must be mounted on the rail and wired.
Method
Carrying out student experiments according to the tasks in the experiment description.
