PLC Application: Traffic Lights

System

This simple application was developed to develop and consolidate programming techniques (constants, variables, block structures etc.) and the use of PLC blocks (flags, time modules and other functions). A PLC with 8 inputs and 5 outputs is required.

Method

The equipment is designed for student experiments. Practical tasks challenge the student to solve the control problem by programming it themselves. Suggested solutions are supplied as a file.

Target group

Vocational training in industry and students specialising in automation technology. The course offers experiments at a low level for vocational schools and bachelor programmes.
