From the pH value to the pKa value - Digital

From the pH value to the pKa value - Digital

Description

In this experiment the students compare the pH value of hydrochloric acid solutions that have different concentrations with acetic acid solutions. They find that the pH value changes differently despite the same change in concentration of hydrochloric acid and acetic acid and justify this with the degree of dissociation of these acids. They also discover that there are strong and weak acids. In this context, the pKa value for weak acids can be introduced.
