Additives in plastics influence the properties

Description

The properties of a plastic can be influenced not only by the choice of monomers, but also by additives. In the following experiment, the students make a film from starch. They add glycerine to part of the film and then compare the properties of the two films. The students learn about another method of plastic production. They learn that the properties of plastics can be influenced by additives.
